anecdotes and factoids on celebrity personalities who impacted
history and have passed on to glory.
Short bio:
Armed with crayons and rolls of paper, Max Donaldson has criss-crossed
America, visiting cemeteries in search of celebrity graves.
His travels have taken him from Baltimore for the tombstone
of Edgar Allan Poe, to John Wayne's grave overlooking the Pacific
Ocean and everything in between. His collection of nearly 200
original rubbings includes such diverse characters as Betsy
Ross, Geronimo, Meriwether Lewis, Calamity Jane, Joe Bonanno,
Gene Autry, Erroll Flynn, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Liberace,
Nat King Cole.
Max reveals the curious, strange,
or bizarre aspects of his subjects with a "lively"
PowerPoint show featuring the colorful grave rubbings in his
framed and matted collection. He has entertained thousands in
Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, and Missouri at venues such as retirement
communities, history museums, fundraisers, and professional
clubs.
